The Trip

This is an all-inclusive river SUP trip with coaching and video documentary by Paul & Meghan with all the logistics arranged by Amazing Vacations, including lodging, food, shuttles to the rivers and San Jose airport.

It's for river SUP paddlers with intermediate paddling skills or better looking to escape the cold of the North American winter by paddling in tropical Costa Rica. (**see below to identify what we consider intermediate.)

Lodging is based on double occupancy rooms so bring a partner.

Your partner doesn't paddle Class 3 rivers on a board? No worries! There will be options for inflatable kayaks or even raft support. And, non-paddling events like jungle hikes could be arranged with the guides from Amazing Vacations.

We'll be based in two different locations throughout the week. The mountin town of Turrialba is where we'll hang our helmets the first few nights as we paddle day sections of the Pejbaye River. Then we head to a jungle lodge as we paddle the famous Pacuare Gorge.

The Class 3 rapids may be big and pushy, or shallow and technical depending on the rain dependent river levels.
