I've partnered again with Amazing Vacations to host week-long all-inclusive whitewater paddle boarding trips on the Pejbaye and Pacuare rivers in central Costa Rica.

We'll be based in two locations, including the mountain town of Turrialba, and at a jungle lodge as we paddle day sections of the rivers, including the famous Pacuare Gorge.
The Class 3 rapids may be big and pushy, or shallow and technical depending on the season. October is the rainy season so the water should be bigger, whereas the February trip may be drier.
You should have solid intermediate river SUP skills, being able to catch eddies, ferry, and be comfortable with self-rescue.
My role is to offer river SUP coaching, guidance, and shoot content documenting our experiences.
Is there a difference between the two trips? The itinerary will be the same, including running the same rivers and staying in the same locations. However, October will be in the rainy season. This means the rapids may be bigger but more friendly. The "dry season" will be in February meaning the rapids may be more technical as they will be more shallow. Either time is a great escape from the cold of North American autumn and winter.
